A Place For Us - Run by Bonnie, a friend of our shelter, this foster home provides a loving environment for dogs (usually no more than four at a time) who have come from local shelters and who need to find permanent homes. Animal Life Magazine - A regional, monthly animal publication that reaches over 30,000 readers in our local tri-state area. Berkshire Humane Society - operates a full-service, open-admission (surrendered animals are always accepted) animal shelter serving western Massachusetts and nearby areas of New York, Vermont, and Connecticut. Berkshire Petwatch - Lost or Found a pet? Then post or read the free ads listed at this great web site which covers our local area of Berkshire County. Dog Owner's Guide - Breed profiles, choosing the right dog, ask the dog trainer, book reviews and more. Cats International - Cat Care Articles - After helping people with their feline behavior problems since 1990, we began to realize that there were a few common issues that all cat owners seemed to be asking us. Fix Cats - Learn the benefits of Spaying or Neutering your cat... and what can happen if you don't. Fund For Cats (and Dogs) - A no-kill shelter for cats in Pepperell, MA with indoor and outdoor play areas for their cats. Help Puppies - Every time someone buys a puppy from a pet store, a puppy at an animal shelter is destroyed because no one adopted him or her. Humane Community of America - Is an information service organization dedicated to improving the relationship between domestic pets and society through education. Contains some great articles, books and more. K9 Finder - Maintains a list of animal control officers in Western Massachusetts (& N. CT) as well as a classified section which mainly covers Massachusetts and New York. Some lost and found ads, but primarily adoptables. Old World Pet Portraits - A local artist who offers whimsical prints and original paintings of cats and dogs proudly posed in historical costume. Carol also does commissions of peoples' pets. Out of the Pits - A non-profit organization dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of abandoned and abused Pit Bulls. They seek to educate the public about the true nature of the Pit Bull and to restore the breed to its former position of esteem in the hearts and minds of people everywhere. Peppertree Rescue - An Albany, NY based group that finds homes for dogs in need who represent the character and temperament commonly associated with Golden Retrievers friendliness, intelligence and a peaceful, loving nature. Pet Hobbyist - Information for owners of cats, dogs and much more. Chats, classifieds, forums, events, screensavers, photos and more great resources. Thomas J. O'Connor Animal Control - A regional dog pound for the Springfield, Chicopee, Holyoke, Granby, and Hampden County area. WPYX FM Pet Center - A site featuring local and national news (and more) related to cats, dogs and other animals.
